Amerika’nın Princeton Üniversitesi yüksek lisans öğrencisi Kale Franz ve İngiltere’nin Sheffield Üniversitesi yüksek lisans öğrencisi Stefan Menzel, yeni bir lazer ışını keşfetti.

İSTANBUL - İki yüksek lisans öğrencisinin bulduğu yeni lazer ışını, geleneksel lazer ışınlarından daha verimli. Bu yeni ışın sayesinde algılama ve tıbbi teknolojilerde devrim yaşanabilir.

Yarı iletken lazer ışınları kimyasal mikro algılayıcılar ve laboratuvar ekipmanları dahil olmak üzere tüm algılayıcıların en önemli bileşenlerinden biri. Bu sebeple yeni bulunan lazer ışınının tıbbi ölçümleme ve güvenlik gibi bir çok farklı alan için önemli olduğu belirtildi. 

Amerikan Princeton Üniversitesi MIRTHE merkezinde yüksek lisans öğrencisi Kale Franz ve İngiliz Sheffield öğrencisi Stefan Metzel tarafından ortak bir çalışma sırasında keşfedilen lazer ışını, daha düşük güç tüketiyor. 

Geleneksel lazer ışınlarının aksine, yükselen sıcaklık değerlerinde daha iyi sonuç veren yeni lazer, kuantum yayan bir kızılötesi lazer iki ışın yayarken keşfedildi. Yükselen sıcaklık değerlerinde daha verimli hale gelen lazerin bu davranışı, daha önceki lazer teorileriyle açıklanamıyor.
