Vestel Savunma Sanayii A.Ş’nin, yüzde 100 yerli imkanlar kullanarak geliştirdiği İnsansız Hava Aracı “Karayel”, performans testlerinde, NATO standartlarının üzerinde sonuç verdi.

ANKARA - Popüler Bilim Dergisi’nin Ocak sayısında yer alacak olan habere göre, Türkiye’nin özgün gereksinimlerini karşılayacak en yeni teknolojilerinin kullanıldığı ve Türkiye’nin yurtdışı bağımlılığını azaltacak olan Karayel’i çalıştıracak yazılımları da Türk mühendisler geliştirdi.

Her türlü askeri istihbarat toplama yeteneğine sahip olan bu modern askeri izleme-gözleme sistemi içinde, 4 adet insansız uçak, 1 adet, uçağı uzaktan kumanda etme, görüntü alma -işleme birimi, 1 adet uçak fırlatma platformu bulunuyor. 

10 saat kesintisiz gözlem yapabilen sistemin bütün modülleri hareketli olduğundan, farklı görev bölgelerine kolayca intikal edebiliyor. Karayel’in iniş takımları, her zaman tekerleklerin üzerine inebilmesini garantilemesi nedeniyle, NATO standartlarında öngörülen performansı aşarak, inişte karşılaşacağı yükten çok fazla yüklerle test edildi ve bu testleri de başarıyla geçti.
